Exhibition of unique paintings

PEASANTS DANCE REMIXED is a cinematic story told through dance, live music and modern illuminations inspired by the film “Peasants,” which was created using the painterly animation technique.

The technique prolonged the filmmaking process from about two years to more than five, but made it possible to show the Polish literary classic in a completely new light. The novel “The Peasants” is filled with descriptions of nature, the laws of nature, delight in life, the land and man. Thanks to painterly expression rather than a simple repainting of the frames, it was possible to highlight and saturate the emotions and beauty of nature in the changing seasons in the film.

During the production, some 1,800 unique paintings came out from under the hands of the painters, and dozens of them will be seen live at the exhibition accompanying the show!

The exhibition includes unique works from key scenes of the film, as well as paintings inspired by masterpieces of Polish and European masters such as J. Chelmonski's “The Storm” and J. Vermeer's “The Milkmaid.”

A ticket to the show entitles you to free admission to the accompanying exhibition. The exhibition will be held in the Imperial Hall.
