Description

A scene depicting Matthew in the inn, immediately after his conversation and reconciliation with Antek. The latter is dancing with his father's wife, Jagna, in the middle of the inn. Old Boryna, unaware of the festivities, is conferring with other farmers in a side room. Antek and Jagna's dance attracts the attention of everyone around them. Matthew's gaze and expression suggest that he senses the painful consequences of this brief moment of oblivion for the lovers.
