A wide shot of the scene in the inn, just before Jagna and Antek’s dance. The camera shows us, from a slightly elevated angle, a meeting between the village headman, Boryna, and several farmers. The peasants discuss recent events involving the Landlord and the logging of the forest. The debate is frequently fueled by copious amounts of vodka, which bolsters their courage for the upcoming confrontation. A shot with a static camera, yet featuring many characters and quite lengthy, which is why it took the artist from Mexico 47 days to paint it. A nearly identical but half-as-long shot, 020, was painted by a different animator.
