Step into the World of The Peasants

A one-of-a-kind evening where words, art, and cinema come together.

On May 21st, in the enchanting setting of the Museum of Literature in Warsaw – where literature meets visual art – we will unveil an exclusive exhibition of paintings from the hand-painted film adaptation of Władysław Reymont’s Nobel Prize-winning novel. Some of these stunning works will be on display for the very first time.

The evening will be enriched with live music performed by Karolina Skrzyńska, Piotr Kopietz, and Paweł Popko, creating an atmospheric soundtrack for this immersive experience.

Adding a personal touch to the night, co-director DK Welchman will take you behind the scenes of the film’s creation, sharing the fascinating stories hidden within the paintings from The Peasants – as well as a few gems from the beloved Loving Vincent.

In this intimate, art-filled setting – with a glass of chilled prosecco in hand – you’ll also have an opportunity to meet and chat with Oscar-winning producer and director, Hugh Welchman.

Paintings from both films will be available for purchase at a special event price – a truly unique chance to own a piece of cinematic and artistic history.

As a special treat, BreakThru Studio will also present a work from their latest project Timeless Chopin, a painterly short animation currently showing at the Poland Pavilion during Expo in Japan.

Each ticket includes two glasses of prosecco.

Tickets are limited – don’t miss your chance to be part of this extraordinary celebration of Polish art and cinema.
