Description

A portrait of the farmer from the scene ‘The Cabbage Party’. Boryna hands out glasses and pours the booze. After Jagusia’s refusal, he turns towards Jagustynka. A well-executed and intriguing portrait of the old farmer, painted by an artist who specialised in his portraits and produced at least several of them during the production. The protagonist’s face is turned to the left, hence the slight blurring of movement in the patches and shapes.
