Antek is sitting with his back to the camera, Józka is standing behind Hanka with a worried look on her face, and Jagustynka and Kuba are sitting on the left. Hanka is looking at Boryna, who has just left the frame. Her face shows dissatisfaction and bitterness due to the fact that the land has been bequeathed to Jagna. Kuba, illuminated by candlelight, looks at Hanka.
